Who Are You (part two)

Here's a great find -- it's the vid of the song I posted on Sept 6 (below)
Incredible. I love this live rendition. I guess those of you who have Roger Daltrey's Celebration of the Music of Pete Townshend concert on video have seen this; I have the concert CD, but I've never seen this before until now. Love it! The entire concert is fantastic... but the video footage of this number (with the "master" himself) is just... perfectamundo! Complete with spinning cellos!

Who Are You?

Music is from Roger Daltrey's Celebration of the Music of Pete Townshend CD. Pete guests on this song. Who'da guessed?

Anyway, I highly recommend the CD (or DVD). It rocks! (as you can tell)

You won't find this on YouTube; I made it myself just for TOWHM. Hope you like it!

Part 5"They've been chewing up my furniture..."

Part 6"a bit panic-stricken"

Part 7"..Yes, we KNOW, Pete...."

Part 8"... he's dreaming up... some mad scheme..."

May 19

Looks like I'm the only one left living here. :-)

Here's a pic of Pete I love. It's my current computer monitor wallpaper. Looks great huge!

Happy Birthday, dear Pete.

"That's not what I said at all!"

I love this. First of all, that hand that reaches in at about 32 seconds and is then swiped away. And Pete's understanding the German and disputing what the reporter said. (She said that he said it would great if he and the whole band went on tour: "That's not what I said at all!")

Then how Pete apparently feels bad for telling the reporter "wanna translate that?" and so he lovingly pats her on the back in a conciliatory fashion. And finally how he gets sort of awkwardly bored and distracted-looking as the one reporter continues in German. LOL

So cute.

Pete talks of Tom Wright

Just found this YouTube, HOT OFF THE PRESS (i.e., I'm the FIRST VIEWER!)

I've got the book (RoadWork). Excellent. Lots of stories and pictures inside you'll not find elsewhere. My favorite is the story of Pete in a New Orleans bar. :-)

** 1993 interview resurrected **

I've resurrected an old NPR interview with Pete, just because......

(wish I'd taken the time to post an old Rockline (holiday encore presentation) interview back in January when it was still live, but alas it's gone now (they only keep them up for 2 weeks)...... Anyway, maybe it'll resurface again one day; it was a really good one! We'll have to keep an eye (ear) out for it to be replayed again maybe next year.

I remember this NPR interview was good too (as I recall, it was a pretty substantial one).

NOTE: you need RealPlayer to listen to it ... which I don't even have installed on my computer right now! So ... I'll leave it to the rest of you.... to ...

ENJOY.

P.S. THE NEXT POST WILL BE THE 100th POST! (who wants the honor??)
